Families first is
the welfare reform program in Tennessee.
The Health Department provides a follow up visit when a family comes
off the Families First program.
During the visit, a family is provided needed information and community
resources, ensuring the family is safe and healthy. The Health Department
receives the referrals only through the Department of Human Services.
